2018 ram quad cab. The bolts that hold the bar to the mounting bracket rusted out. (I think these are an OEM option set I bought it used)
Bolts looked to be 1/4 or 3/8ths . Empty hole in the step tube are 1/2 or a bit bigger. Not threaded. No idea how to hold them on.
What are my options to hold them in place other than hose clamps or duct tape!
I love this truck and it looks mint. If I must buy new bars because of 3 rusted attachment bolts what do you guys recommend?

Cut/torch, then weld, then drill. And if you don't have those tools then you'll probably just have to take it somewhere.

What do the nerf bars actually look like?

Can you pop off a plastic endcap from the nerf bar? And then fab up a 1/4" thick plate a couple inches long, with a welded nut (or bolt?). And then slide the plate down inside the Nerf with a long rod? Until you have it where you need it. Then put your bolt into that plate?

I'm just thinking what I "think" your issue is. But I could be off-base. A pic would help.
