Taking off my CAI and accidently snapped this tube thing trying to move it out of the way. Didnt realize it was that fragile... When it snapped I heard a release of pressure somewhere, so I'm just guessing it has something to do with the HVAC? -_- I electrical taped it just for now... Could somebody explain to me what it is please? Thanks....

lol no that's going into the brake booster so it's probably using some of the vacuum from the line. It's probably for your HVAC unit to control the flappers that direct air up or down.

Great....lol. Well at least it's nothing SERIOUS. I also figured it was something to do with the HVAC bc it leads to underneath the dash area. Hope its a simple repair, but doubt it will be. Thanks blackout and Chewy :)

its a vacuum line which would be the reason pressure was released. Just trace it back and see where it ends up at

@statman, It just leads to the back of the engine to where I believe is underneath the dash. And I have very little auto experience, so I wouldnt know what it does...lol

If the pieces will match up, you can put something along the lines of JB weld, gorilla glue, or some other epoxy/sealant.

It has to be sealed on the matching surface and outside surface. You CAN NOT block the inside path.

It also has to be strong or you will be doing this again.

The best way to do it is replace it. Look under the dash on the side where is goes in and see if you find it.

This is where you start learning auto mechanics.
