Get 9.6 city, absolute crap. I complained to the dealer, the area manager, and had my attorney generals office send a request to FCA. Fca’s response? EPA sets the mileage, complain to them. Love the truck except they could give a damn about lying on their sticker.

I have a 2019 Ram Laramie 4x4 392 gears 5.7 HEMI Crew Cab new body style. I get 14 City 20.5 highway and 17 combined. Happy with mileage and love the truck.

I have a 2019 2500 with the 6.4, 8 speed. I get 10 around town and 17 on the highway. Not evic calculated but actual miles over gallons. BTW the evic is within .1 mpg. No complaints and I don’t baby it. Only has 1600 miles on it, so nowhere to go but up!

I'm happy with my truck. Roughly 13 mpg light city and mostly highway driving. I've gotten up to about 17 mpg when the EVIC showed 19 mpg. When I tow it went down to about 10 mpg. I don't think it's too bad for a 2500 with a 6.4L engine.

my 16 bighorn crew cab have got as high as almost 21, average 17 to 19 mostly highway, around town would guess about 14. gas mileage depends a lot on the weight of the right foot. ones driving habits can vary gas mileage greatly.

And your gear ratio will make a difference. If you have the 3.08, 3.21, or 3.23 you'll get better MPG than my stupid hemi with the 3.91 rear end. I regret buying this thing every month Ive owned it. great truck but the rumors of the hemi getting horrible fuel economy are certanily true for me. i am super light on the gas, i even use cruise in town to keep out throttle variables. And I have the 8 speed trans.

I have a Hemi with an 8 speed in my 16 Big horn. I purchased my truck used a year ago with 20k. I have 27k now. Dont put on a lot of miles. 12 miles a day to work and back. Im averaging about 12 mpg. The most ive ever gotten is about 17 highway. A guy i work with, bought the same truck new. Puts on about the same mileage. He has 4k on his truck now. Hes averaging 19mpg. Said he gets 12 when hes pulling his camper. Should i be getting btter gas mileage ? and is there a way to improve it ? Thanks

The guy you work with maybe getting 19, but he may have a different rear gear ratio. My 2019 claissic with 8spd trans and 3.91 rearend is right on with what you're getting. I hate this hemi. great passing power is the only reason I like it. My 5.3 in my last 2 GM trucks were averaging 17-20mpg in town all the time. I do use my cruise in town quit often which helps keep it in Eco mode. But still the Hemi Mpg sucks. And of course you'll get those guys who say you don't get a big truck for fuel economy. But i also didnt get one to break the bank. Going back to a GM after this one or even the 6cyl turbo F150 next.

I average 12mpg 100% city driving in my 2011 5.7 quad cab 4x4. Highway varies between 17-21mpg depending on speed. 3.55 gears helps on the highway. In town I often carry 200-800lbs of tools as well so combined weight is closing in on 6,000lbs, just over 5k empty. I run all weather cooper tires which can decrease mpg slightly due to the more aggressive tread but I bought the truck for work and the capability it offers.

Not to say I don't care about mpg as I have an extensive Excel sheet where I keep track of fuel, and other expenses so I can keep an eye on not only the health of the vehicle but how it affects my bottom line at operating cost at around 19 cents per km. I paid cash for the truck up front so the cost per mile doesn't include vehicle cost, merely operating cost.
Im getting the same #s as you in my 2012 bighorn and shes running smooth actually very quiet on the front end and throaty at the rear. The only time i really get decent mileage is on a long highway trip. It actually feels and responds as new-love mine.DSC00560.JPG

my 2016 same as yours, the hemi 4x4 and 3.92 rear end, and I have got a couple times almost 21mpg combined, mostly highway, average 17 to 19 combined. for all in city start and stop driving would likely be about 14. still gas mileage can vary greatly depending on personal driving habits. if one likes to take off like a jackrabbit your mileage is going to suffer. I like to step on mine once in a while to feel the acceleration, ( is quicker than my Harley) but the mileage suffers when doing that. just even 20 years ago this class of a truck getting near 20mpg was almost unheard of despite the weight of my crew cab the specs say empty around 5300lbs. have only had the truck since last November but have really grown to like it and saved some $$ by letting the first owner eat the depreciation.

I just pulled out my window sticker to check the stats. I have the 3.21 gears, but i also have an optional Anti spin Differential rear axle. would tht affect the mileage

Saw a guy at the station the other day filling up his 2014 PW. I mentioned to him that he is probably happy gas prices are going down. He told me he gets 18 MPG in it back and forth to work. Hard to believe that when I can barely break 17 in mine on the highway and his commute isn't much highway.

And no, the anti spin diff will not affect your mileage. Almost all trucks made today have that option

yeah I'm calling ******** on that one unless he really plays the throttle game by going slow and playing the hills the right way.

My 2017 Sport 4X4 5.7 averages 18 in town and 22 on the highway - at 70 most of the time. Can't ask for better. And that is with 87 octane. Found if I use 89 my mileage drops about 1.5 mpg, go figure.

Been tracking my mileage on Fuelly, lifetime average is 14.5 mpg.

Truck has had “35’s” for about 85k miles..........just recently passed 109k.

commuting back and forth to work downtown it’s mid 14’s to just over 15. All hwy is 16ish and might sniff 17 but I’m usually cruising 80ish.

Hemi 5.7 Liter with MOPAR Cold Air Intake & Hood Scoop
I've got a '13 Sport with a 5.7 Hemi and the 3.92 rear-end. I upgraded to the MOPAR Cold Air Intake a few moths ago and saw my mileage go up 2 mpg as a result; I went from 9-10 mpg to on average 12-13 mpg (on a good week I've seen 14 mpg). I haven't been able to see how it does with my 5th wheel yet as I'm living in it and still doing repairs as well. The MOPAR upgrade was very simple and only took me 30 minutes total to do (removing and installing combined); the directions were that detailed. On the other hand, the 2nd stage of the upgrade was another story, talk about LACK of detail in the instructions. It removes the passenger side "dummy" air scoop and makes it functional; it also has you installing a "tunnel" over to the top of the air box. There's only 3 screws holding everything in-place and that's where the snafu comes into play, you're almost blind doing the alignment of these screws/bolts. The end result, I feel, was worth the upgrade.
