So would the quart work well the alpine type r 12d4s?? If I can put In good subs for $700 vs spending $1200 I'd do it right now!

I still say grab sub box first, because you cant buy any sub and plan to stick in a box under your seat, dang sure an ***, maybe even a Type R. Find a sub box that fits your truck and the space your willing to give up. Then look at it's mouting depth and airspace, and power handling. If it's like .66 to .88 per side, you cant get a sub that requires 1.50 cu ft of airspace to properly work.
So back to step one, but a box, then find its dims, and order subs, then get amp that matches those subs. (DVC 2's or DVC 4's, etc..)

yes, now find a sub that fits in a ported box, less than 7 1/4" deep :)

Kicker CVT will work as the 12" is only 4 3/8th deep, but look for a sub thats around 6 3/4" deep.

you'll find lovers and haters, if everyone loved the same stuff people would all love white Rams...LOL

The Type R will be fine, two dual 4's adnd then look for like a 1000 watta 1 ohm amp to power both. Stick with a good brand on amp, and plan on at least 0 gauge amp kit.

Haha well my problem is if the total comes out to to much then I just have to wait an save a little. I'd like to be around $800 altogether? But if I'd get crappy components that sound terrible or I'd want to upgrade later on, I'll just wait haha

let me see, $800, 4 door truck?

5 channel amp $399
Kicker DX600.5 (11DX600.5) 5-Channel Class D Car Amplifier

$115 front door
Kicker KS6.2 (11KS6.2) 6" 2-way Component Speakers System

rear door $80
Kicker 11KS65 6-3/4" (6-1/2" Oversized) 2-way KS Series Speakers

single Apline Type S ( to better match amp ) $100
Alpine SWS-12D4 (sws12d4) 12" Dual 4-Ohm Type-S Car Subwoofer

thats about $700, need plates to cobvert rear door to fit 6x9 to 6.5", and an amp wiring kit.

Not a massive SUB setup, but dang sure 10x better than stock anyday, and with a great warranty.

Haha omg man was not expecting you to do that much for me. Thanks a lot! Will that setup give me pretty decent sound?? And most importantly some good bass? Haha that's what I'm really lookin for but I'd like a good overall sound to! Is there a sub box id need to get on top of that? And will my factory head unit do? Or will I need a new one?? And Ive never done this before so am I gettin in pretty deep with no experience ?

Factory HU will work, course later adding an aftermarket one will really enhance it even more. A LOC will work or a PAC, and yes, a vented box for one sub will be plenty. I think you will REALLY be pleased, will put the stock to shame!

I bought all my stuff and now am thinking of going another route. I have an mb quart 80.4 kicker ds3.5s ds6x9s and ks6.5s that I paid 120 40 100 and 80 for originally. I'd sell it all to you for 300 if you wanted. I haven't posted these because I still don't know what to do with it all. But I do have an mtx thunderform with 2 10s and a kicker zx 400.1. They sound great but I am looking to build my own fiberglass enclosure and use a 1 sub setup now because I want some of the under seat storage back. Just a thought for you. But if you want 2 subs that work well in small spaces look into sundown audio. Ssa dcon to be exact and an alpine amp mrx m100. That would run you around 550 for subs and amp

I can't wait now haha, and btw one more question, If I wanted to switch to a 2 sun system will I need a new amp?? Or will that one cover it? Thanks for all the help that was great man!

Hey just another thing to run by you, say i wanted to just put in 2 12" type r's, would i be able to run one of those 2 amps you suggested (or something else in that price range that would work the best?) I don't want to install it myself, i found a guy that would do it all for around $150?

Would that make sense? and then id replace with the kicker speakers a little down the road???
