I recently picked up this 22 1500 Limited. Was under the hood last night and saw this ziptied near the firewall right next to the battery. No visible markings other that what is visible...has a blinking green light

Crazy...that was my first thought, but I figured no one would be dumb enough to mount it right there on top...Guess i will be taking that out tomorrow. Thanks guys! I wonder if it was on there for "lot management" and they forgot to remove it, or for lender tracking? Previous owner was a Sales manager at the dealership I got it from.

you got to keep in mind "car guys" are a dying breed
you'd be surprised how many people nowadays dont even know how to pop the hood, and they will never ever see it there

id see what that thing costs new, you may get a free oil change or two out of it if you return it to them

Asked them if the tools left in the Ram belong to them ?

Forgot to come back and update this...Turns out the dealership uses them for keeping track of the vehicles on the lot...then leaves them on there for the customers to take over (like a lojack)...unfortunately, they never sent me the info for taking it over.
