When the instructions say premature bushing failure this is literally what they mean

Looking up specs and setting the torque wrench might cut into Tide Pod eating time.

There should be a metal bushing in the center of the rubber that limits the bolts travel and holds the bolt tight. That is just old swollen rubber.

There should be a metal bushing in the center of the rubber that limits the bolts travel and holds the bolt tight. That is just old swollen rubber.
