OK Guys. What year were the 47RH trans . I need a 47RH ...as I'm pLANNED ON ADDING an OverDrive into my 1989 1st gen 12v..
Now I just want O/D & I want to control that O/D shift with a toggle switch .
I don't have anything but Stock power.. But I feel I'd rather have my shift control with a toggle switch.
Because It's mostly only used on th farm . say at 20 mph. But then at time it get a trip of maybe 50 to 75 miles.
& It works to run 70 mph.
.......SO I WONDERING what year trans to look for . 1994 1995 96 97 & 98 I think.

94-95.

If you're not doing heavy stuff at highway speed, the lockup is redundant. The 91-93 a518 has the overdrive, and is likely easier to find cheaper. Keep in mind the 727 trucks ran a 3.07 axle and overdrive trucks ran 3.54 (or 4.10).

Another way to go faster on a 2wd is taller rear tires.
