I picked up some HID's earlier in the year and noticed my passenger side one is turning purple. Pretty sure it's not long for this world. I'm trying to get in contact with them THE AUTO LED. They are out of Canada. In the mean time in case things don't happen with them, what's my best and apparently reliable option for HID's for my low beams? Should I just do LED? From what I've heard, that's not what I want to go with in my lows.......

Thanks everyone.

I have a 2018 power wagon

I used headlight revolution and they have a great selection. I went with their GTR series and it's worked flawlessly for past 6 months. Their pricey but stand by what they sell.

I'm using Headlight Revolution HIDs for nearly 2 years. Great upgrade for sure. At the time there wasn't really an LED light compatible for projectors. There may be now now but HIDs have more range.

I put a Morimoto HID kit in mine in April of 2017 and have had no issues with the kit.

Definitely pay a little more. I've had a couple cheaper kits and have had many problems with bad ballasts. Ddm and headlight experts. The later was the absolute worst

If you wait ill let ya know how the new lumibright xt1 g2 LEDs work. Ive tried ddm tuning 35w ballasts and 5500k bulbs and now hylux 45w ballasts and 5500k morimoto bulbs.
While definitely brighter then stock i still feel they could be better, or maybe i just dont like the color idk lol. One of my morimotobulbs looks like 1k less color, maybe its my projector but ill find out once i swap these leds in.

I got these onsale for $140

Thanks everyone. At least I have options. Wonder if it’s just a bad ballast

If the bulb is changing color like pink or purple it is a sign the bulb is starting to fail.

Hey did you go with the 55 or 35 watt?

I went with the 55w 5000k. Honestly they are a touch on the yellow/white side. I may end up ordering the 6000k bulbs to see how they are. I was worried that 6k would be too blueish so went with the safer 5k option. Still I have no regrets.

Yeah I ended up going with 5k on my wife’s Durango and they ended up being yellow. Maybe I’ll do the 6000.

I went with 4300K which OEM color. The first pair I put in my Ram were 5000K but had a blue/green hue to them. I have had close to a dozen different kits over the years and the color swings from different brands is all over the place.
