WHAT'S THIS CODE.

i HAD A GUY READ MY CODES & He said I had a ASD. Automatic Shut Down code .47 i believe .
He didn't find anything on it .
& He said it seemed my timing was at 28degrees btdc.
Any thought on those . & My GAS MILEAGE IS ONLY ABOUT 8MPG.

is your truck shutting down randomly?

WELL Reek .. IT DOESN'T shut down while driving down the Hwy or on the farm .
But I have a big farm, So this truck was just staying on the farm & Being fueled up only on the farm for months at a time .
.. But after getting ready for a town trip . I enjoy driving this truck .. Other than it doesn't have a cruise control ''YET'' .. So I took it to town to fill with fuel .. 3 TIMES in a row this happened . I get to the gas station & I fill the tank to about 3/4 or maybe 7/8 full.
Previous Owner told me the tank leaks if filled completely UP.
NO PROBLEM ON THE FARM BECAUSE .. I FILL FROM 18 GALLON CONTAINERS .
... But the 1st 3 time I drive it to town & Fill it from a pump .. After it was at about 3/4 full . It would not start. I'd let it set for about 30 minutes & It cranked up all 3 times ..
But lately I've ran 93 grade gas in it & .. It is starting much faster now that it did last year. I wonder if this 93 fuel has cleaned it up some what .
Only those 3 times has it failed to start ..
