Consider yourself lucky, my first truck was a 92 Dakota Reg Cab, short box, 3.9L V6, 2WD, with peeling paint. I got it for $800, and had to put $400 worth of new brakes on it to get it safely on the road. Paid $600 out of my pocket and my Dad covered the other $600 which I promptly had to pay back. You're very fortunate to have a truck like that at your age. I didn't get my 2011 until last year when I was 25.

That's a pretty damned nice truck though. Welcome to the RF.

thanks. i love this truck. my first two cars i bought myself. i had a 94 civic that had a lot of rust spots and had no brakes so i had to fix that. then a 98 jetta that hit a wall and had a completely bent frame that i ended up fixing using a engine hoist and a tow strap because i couldnt afford to take it to the shop. so i know what its like having to pay for your own cars but i know im lucky enough to be able to have a dad to buy me a new truck
