Got these wheels very cheap9e95bd531036697bec069807a97385af.jpg16b873f90f07e7ec75914445f9f4f4d0.jpg (trade deal) and had them powder coated (all four for $300). Picked them up yesterday and got them installed. Need center caps now. Anyone know which ones to order offhand before I dive into searching?

I tried set of those already. Turns out every single one with the Ramshead or Mopar on it is 2.5 inches in diameter. These have to be 3 inches minimum. The shoulder to shoulder where the clips go is 2 15/16. I found some 79 mm that might work and I’ve got them on order will be here tomorrow.

Leave it to me to pick wheels that are almost impossible to find center caps for but after four hours of searching I think I finally did it.

These did not work they were still too small. Once they were snapped in they would not stay at least an eight maybe even 3/16 too small. The search continues.

Well a quick search brought up only one other kind of wheel cap Chevrolet/ GMC/super sport. They were chrome ones with no logos but I would have to wait a whole month as they got shipped from China. I’m out. So I did what every resourceful redneck would do.... I got out the electrical tape and made five rounds on the clips on the inside, and another five rounds of carefully cut thin strips to go between in the valley.

Cap 1 is in there and very tight....not easily pulled out. Now to the other three. On the next one I will take pictures of how I position the tape so if someone else wants to try it they’ll know how. Kind of a pain, But until I can get some plain 83 mm caps these will do.

They’re all on and I cannot pull them off with my fingers. And I have pretty strong fingers. The first picture shows the alignment of the first five rounds of tape I put on and the second shows the thinner layer in the valley between the clips and the shoulder that rests against the wheel. Third photo is a better shot of how they look.
