I noticed them in my glovebox. Apparently the dealer included them with my truck. I've never had them except for 20 years ago when I bought an Acura for my wife - the dealership strongly suggested it to prevent theft.

Are people stealing the 20" wheels off Rams or should I just throw these into the back for the next owner?

I know they are standard on the Big Horn package. I assume they are included on the higher trim models, too.

I put mine on last year, when there was a string of thefts reported around the city of persons stealing 20" wheels. I don't think my truck would necessarily be an intended target, but I already had the locks. Figured, why not. Just be sure to keep your key handy, so you can take off the tires at any point (ie flat tire, tire rotation, etc.).

Most Ram's i've seen at local dealerships in NJ have em on.. Ramrunner56 there's one lock on each wheel thats obviously different from the other 4 lugs, You can't miss it and the there should be a bag in your glovebox with the other 4 lugs they replaced and the lock key for removal!

There was a set in my console when I took delivery of my '15 Black Express. They are made by McGard, and while there may not be a run on 20" wheels from Ram Trucks, I took no chances and installed them. I put the 4 lug nuts I took off back in the bag, zip tied it shut (there was even a ziptie in the bag) and tossed the bag back in the lower center seat compartment.

Guess it depends on where you live, but I don't think stock rims bring in the big money.

Yeah could pop them on craigslist and make a couple hundred, but I would figure most go for big aftermarket wheels.

You don't steal stock rims to sell, you steal them to put on yours cause you curbed yours while hammered.

That's what guys do around here anyways.

Ive got locks on mine for a reason.

^^^This would make the most sense.

All the 20 inch wheels I have seen on Rams have them. I don't recall any on the standard 17 inch wheels. I assumed mine were factory installed.

haha. well as long as you don't curb your truck. That's cool. lol

Mine didn't have any locks, but it's a 09 and I'm the 2nd owner. So who knows what happened to them.

I didn't expect so many responses about wheel locks...

I guess that I'll throw them on and see how well the key works. If it's a pain then they are coming right back off again.

My express came with them from the factory as part of an option package including the 20 inch wheels so I didn't have a choice. But I've used locks on a few cars when I had aftermarket rims. This was a response to some local cars having a wheel or two stolen off of them and left sitting on their rotors.

Easy to use so if you got em use em.

I have locks for mine, but lets be real, locks only keep the honest people from taking them. If somebody really wants them bad enough they can get them. My family owns a salvage yard and snap on makes wheel lock sockets, you just hammer them on and take off the lug. We use them everyday. That being said, I do use mine on my wheels, better to be a little safe than a lot sorry. lol

I remember that with that Acura we had, I was told by the dealer that there were only four different lock patterns so anyone with all four keys could still steal your tires. I figured it's similar to locking your doors. It keeps out the casual/lazy thief but does nothing to stop the motivated thief.

Pretty much. My toolbox on my old truck was locked but still got broken into. They just drilled the damn lock out. Which is the way I would've done it too but still. Thankfully I only lost a pocket knife cause the box was pretty much empty. lol I would use your locks though. Makes it look legit. lol

depends on the lock. there's some you have grind off since if you hammer something on them they just spin around
