Took my Ram in for state inspection.....

Guy jacked up the front end and showed me how both front wheels had some slight play in them...

What's up with that?

Truck is practically new....

2020 Ram 2500 Gas....

Thanks for your thoughts already!

All directions……

It’s slight ….but it’s there….

Perhaps it’s actually writhing some kind of spec…..and it’s supposed to be like that…… but I doubt it

What does the Inspector do ?
Do they fail the truck for a wiggle, or do they give you a heads up, or ... ??

Out here they would set up temporary Inspection Station, they did a basic check, wind shield, lights, tires, horn & a head light check, ( they put a device on the face of the head lights ).

They did not stop trucks that were used for business.
I worked for a swimming pool outfit, truck was a piece of junk, they always waved me right on by.

After that period of time, they had the State Certified Smog Stations do the checks.

Now those stations can only check for emissions

Depending on the wheel bearing type it may be normal.
If both do it and there isn't any noise and the nut is torqued to spec, I would say it is ok.

OP welcome, you do your part we will try to help, if not we can't. Another new poster, next to no information, doesn't answer clarifying questions, hopes someone has crystal ball and is clairvoyant.
