I have a 2015 ram 1500 crew cab, it's a tradesman with the standard 17x7 steel wheels. I would like to get black wheels but I am having trouble finding any in 17x7. Would 17x8 also work with the tires? Anyone done this yet have a recommendation? Thanks! (BTW the truck is black, trying to black everything out)

Yes 17x8's or 17x9's will work no problem.

Are you looking for a stock looking wheel or going full aftermarket? You're keeping the stock tires I take it?

Ok thanks! Im thinking aftermarket as they are usually cheaper. And yes I would like to keep the stock tires at least until there worn then get something a little bigger.

Plasti-Dip your wheels black until the time comes to replace your tires and then get a tire and wheel package deal.

I have been thinking about that... I would like them to have some sheen to them though. I have plasti dipped wheels before but back then I don't think they had the gloss out yet. Do you know if adding the gloss makes the dip harder to remove?
