So I just put Rancho Quick lifts on my 2014 Ram Regular cab 4x4 with 35x12.5x20 Ridge Grapplers . after driving it a week or so I have noticed a slight rubbing at full lock both forward and reverse when pulling into a parking space! So obviously I'm looking into wheel spacers. there are alot of recommendations within this forum that suggest going with 10 mm spacers. My question is how critical is it that I use hub centric spacers as opposed to just a flat aluminum spacers? My truck is driven 98% on the street with occasional trail rides in Northern Michigan. the reason I ask is mostly the cost of the hub centric spacers .

thanks for the input!

Personally I am against wheel spacers as they tend to put more strain on the wheel bearings. I would only take a guess that hub centric would be your best bet.

I am only looking at 10mm which is about 3/8ths of a inch , or maybe 6mm that is 1/4 inch.

I understand that lol I just gave my opinion. I never ran one so I can't say hub centric or not. If I took an educated guess I would say hub centric but I don't know lol

Do you know what your rubbing on? UCA, wheel well liner, front bumper, etc? And I have only ever used hub centric spacers on a vehicle.

Not the uca, because that would rub all the time, so I'm thinking since its rubs at full lock it may be wheel liner.

Mine rubbed on the liner too. You definitely have options: Just trim the liner (what I did), zip tie it back or heat it with a heat gun and re-mold (be careful as there may be wires/plugs behind the liner is some areas). No need to run spacers If you don’t have too. You can spend that money elsewhere on other toys.

Running spacers will not fix rubbing if it’s on the wheel liner, it most likely will make it worse. If your rubbing on the inside against uca or tie rods etc, then spacer is the way to go, hub centric.

If your rubbing the liner and you put spacers on, you will exaggerate the turning radius and it will rub more.

I use a simple 1/4" spacer that I got at O'reilly's. I haven't had an issue in the two years I've been using them

I just taped down the wheel liner in the front. It works and you can't tell
