I'm defiantly getting new tires before the snow flies, however I'm thinking maybe some new wheels as well. Most of my miles are put on in the winter in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. So the winters are hard on things. What do I look for in a wheel as far as durability is concerned? I don't want to spend all this money on new wheels and the paint or wheel itself peels or pits.

Was kinda of thinking about these

I live in philadelphia, and we do get winter weather, but probably not as intense as your location. I personally found that simply applying a coat of wax to your rims helps fight the salt.

I do this once a week as long as there is salt, and snow on the ground. My truck gets washed once a week no matter what during the winter just to keep up on the paint.

If you go that route, a coat of Nu-Finish will last much longer, probably not requiring re-application for the whole winter.
Wax looks great but sucks for longetivity.

I like them. As far as winter goes just keep them clean. The factory chrome wheels took on my 98 trans am took 8 winter before and bubbling and peeling started on 2 of them so a set of painted should last. Coat them with a sealant or wax and wash weekly.
