When should I order my RAM (Canada)?

When should I order my truck so that it will arrive by mid of April or latest by end of Mai 2016 ?

(my truck should not arrive before end of April as I as I will be away from home from February to mid April)

- 2016 RAM 1500 Limited with some options (i.e. Power sunroof, 4x4, 6'4" bed,...)
- Living in Canada/ British Colombia

Unless you have someone to bump up the order it will take 8-10 weeks for delivery after you place your order.

Sometimes it can arrive sooner though. For example my truck took only 6 weeks to be delivered even though I was told 8-10.

why can't you go to the dealer now, make the arrangements and then tell them, this is when "I want to pick it up"?

I can't see it being a problem, since dealers compete with each other. If it arrives early, they can shove it into a back corner of the lot. I've never bought an ordered truck (always on the lot), but I'm assuming you have to put some kind of deposit on it. So, it's not like you're going to order and take off without the truck.
