Hey everyone, my truck is getting good ol death wobble so I've decide ill just cure it once and for all by just replacing a bunch of front end stuff. So far I've found two sets of parts avaliable, one with tie rod adjuster sleeves, tie rod ends, and ball joints. The other has all that but also has full tie rods too. Which would be the smarter kit to buy? They have quite a price difference.

Just make sure you have a good track bar.

Okay...why?

EDIT: Is it because the balljoint in the bar goes bad?

Yeah. Its just gonna be a bigger pain in the ass to replace the joint in the bar than it would be to get a whole new bar. I mean your gonna have to take out the old track bar anyway so might as well get a whole new bar.

True. Sounds good. Do you think that'll cure the death wobblez?

Thats about 85% of the problem. Right after I experienced DW i ordered a new track bar, got it put on and ive never had it since. That being said its not 100% the problem. If you want to really get rid of it your gonna have to pretty much rebuild your whole front end, which I did, get a new steering box, and you could even get a steering box stabilizer.

But the track bar will give you tighter steering and play a big part in getting rid of the DW. Without having to get everything else done. :favorites13:

Before you stay ordering parts, have somebody turn the wheel while you are laying under the front end and look for excessive play in your ball joints, tie rod ends, track bar ends, pitman arm, etc. Everything you can really. Jack up the front end and wiggle the tires. If you can get any wiggle make sure your lugnuts are torqued and do it again. Get a good diagnosis before spending money
