Why does my projector cutoff line look funky?

I have noticed this even before the HID's, but instead of there being a nice straight line for the top of the cutoff, there's angles in it as you can see in the picture. Is it supposed to be like this? It's noticeable when driving too. My lights are perfectly level with each other, that's not the issue, it's like it's something with the inner housing.

Did you notice if your bulbs return wire were both at the six o clock position? By your pic yours look good to me. I know the wire position will cast a shadow

Not sure if your referring to the step in the cutoff? If so thats supposed to be there. Other than that, looks pretty good for an oem projector made for halogen bulbs. The oem projectors arent that great, your not going to have a real sharp, straight cutoff.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. Why is that supposed to be there? I'm guessing maybe something to do with oncoming traffic? No idea, just a guess. Can anyone elaborate? There are no wires or anything in the way.

You are correct. The shield in the projector is made with that step to be lower on oncoming traffic on the left, but higher on the right for better visibility off to the side.

That's normal. It's not going to be flat all the way across.
