Why Is My Remote Start Not Activating Heated Seats/ Steering Wheel?

It's not often needed here in Southern Arizona but we can have some chilly mornings. When I first bought my truck new 4 years ago, remote start would always activate the heated seats and steering wheel, but no longer. What could be wrong? Last year they had to put in a entire whole new radio, and 12 inch screen because the heated seats were coming on even when it was 70 degrees. Now, this.

Im in n. Arizona and mine only works on a cool morning maybe 20% of the time. When I say cool, its not really bad but I'm assuming anything below 50* would kick on the preset warming functions with auto start.

40 F is the setting for Heated Seats and Steering Wheel. Enabled in your U Connect. You need to go into U Connect in sub menu's and confirm that are set to come on, and not disabled.

The vehicle outside temperature sensor has to read below 40°F for the heated seats/wheel to auto turn on.
There's options in the radio for the Auto-On, when remote started, every start, or not at all

Start here, find the "settings" icon at the top right corner.



Push the "settings" icon and it will take you to the next screen.



It will show this screen, scroll down to the next page.

The next page will show "Auto-On Comfort & Remote Start" Press that button.



Press the down button and it will open that screen.


That's the settings. The temperatures are set by the factory unless there is a way to change them using AlfaOBD, that's all the end user can do.

As you were informed, it's got to reach 40 for them to kick on. You aren't there yet.

But it's nice to know exactly where that is - I was wondering where that point was, because back in the fall some mornings they'd kick on and others they would not.

Yes What OC45 showed U was on 12 inch screen. If U have 8.4, and cannot find or follow, lemme know, and I'll go to MY 19 and screen shot the screen progression for U. Now I got a lowly Bighorn (8.4 Screen, Plain Jane U con 4 radio), not all the fancy setups lmao.

I wonder if you can adjust the outside temperature it starts with alfa. I could see wanting to change the temp if you lived somewhere where below 60 was considered cold.
