I have a 2015 that I purchased the lifetime warranty though. The dealer stopped selling them the month I purchased my truck. Mine is for the power train and bumper to bumper. It kicks in after the factory warranty has run its course, any work requires a $200 deductible. It is a hemi as well.

I have a 2009 Ram SLT 4X4 (Gas) 4.7 and when I purchased it my dealer advised, "You are going to love this truck because it has a Lifetime Power Train Warranty and it is good as long as you own the vehicle and obtain the required inspections." I have been amazed at what is included in the Power Train Warranty for example the water pump was covered and I would have considered it a routine wear item. I love my Ram but the dealer advised 2009 was the last year for the warranty by Chrysler. Had they offered it on Diesels - I would have bought one.

you have to watch out for that tho as they can usually be cancelled at any point. had lifetime oil changes on a truck a few years back then they cancelled the program about 2 years in. also as with most products offering lifetime warranties "lifetime" is usually the lifetime of the product not the owners lifetime which in a vehicle i'd think is no more then 10 years

I think some are getting confused with the dealer provided "lifetime" warranty that is totally separate from a FCA backed warranty.

Those dealer provided "lifetime" warranties are full of holes where they can back out of it. Most times they have clauses that you must have every service scheduled or unscheduled performed by them and if you miss a scheduled service, grounds for denial. Some also halve the recommended intervals to get you in twice as much. Basically a money making scheme by the dealers to have you in paying top dollar for the service.
