I have a 06, great running truck.

Can you comment on the issues with the 22 ?
One draw back for the newer trucks is the DPF that goes crazy from short drives under 10 miles one way or seeing 60 minutes or more of nonstop hwy speeds once a week, short drives can't get the exhaust system hot enough or long enough to burn soot so that the system only auto regens only happen every 24 hr of engine run time. Also by having frequent regens it allows diesel to get past the rings during the frequent regens thus increasing oil level contamination along with oil growth.. Also frequent regens ruin the DPF or cause it to plug up.

Common ways are:
Run fuel treatment like Archoil 6500 and 6400
Try to only use the truck for towing
Take it out for a 30-60 minute highway run once a week or so
MAF sensors and air filter brand can cause problems

There has not been a real solution to the clogged DPF issues so far, outside of a delete. I own a '22 CTD, so have been paying attention. Even replacing/re-coreing the DPF once it becomes clogged seems to only clear up the issue temporarily. I don't know if Stellantis really knows what the problem is. They have issued a TSB about it, but only if you're throwing a code.
