Will this stereo work in a '98 Dodge Ram 1500?

Hi all,

Thinking about picking up a new stereo to replace the existing cassette equipped one. Would this thing fit in my '98 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT?

Is there any sort of kit that I would need to install it?

It's a single DIN, so, yeah, it'll fit. You'll need an install kit for it though. Should have the adapter plate and any conversion wires necessary.


Do you have the Dodge Infinity sound system though?

Thanks guys. DodgeDude, bit of a newbie to trucks to be honest. Is there any way I can tell if I have the Dodge Infinity sound system? Do I need it for this sort of stereo? Cheers.

Dodge Infinity Sound System was an option on these trucks, can't remember off the top of my head but wanna say it had 4 speakers, pre sure it had A-pillar speakers, someone correct me if I'm wrong lol

Edit: could always get build sheet from Chrysler

+1 on the build sheet order.

The Infinity trucks had tweeters in the a-pillars.
