Hey guys -- I've been reading some conflicting information so I thought I would post up to get some help from the experts :)...

I'm looking for some new wheels and tires for my 99 Ram 4x4. I don't need anything big/fancy, I just want a wide/aggressive stance from the truck. I've been looking at some 15x10's or 16x10's with a 33x12.50 tire and based on cost, I am leaning toward a 15x10 setup. That being said, some say that may not work due to the brake caliper designs.

Below are the wheels/tires I'm looking at. Can anyone confirm whether or not this setup will work?

Thanks a lot for the help!!

Here is what I can offer for info.

That is too much backspace max would be 4", under that you will go through unit bearings like crazy, and ball joints and it will steer like crap. Even at 4" I went through front end parts like mad, 4.5 would be better.

Its going to be close if you will rub or not on the fenders and/or bumper.

Why do you want a 10" wide rim?

This is the polished 16x10 wheel I ran

Ion Alloy 171
16x10
Offset -38
BS 4.00

Edit; I sure don't miss those polished wheels, very high maintenance wheels if you like to keep them looking new.

Thanks a lot man. So if I fix the backspace and offset, 15's are doable on a '99 Ram?

I mainly want 10" wheels because I like the wide-stance look that they give and the ability to run a wider/bigger tire in the future if I decide to lift further.

Thanks again for the help!
