So my driver side window chatters awful when going down . If I push against the window it stops. I tried spraying lube down in the door but nothing seems to work. As anyone else had the same problem and what was your fix. I was thinking about changing the weather strips and go from there

I've noticed mine does the same at the very start but goes away and the window gets a bit lower. I've no idea what's causing it to do this though.

I had that problem when I first got my '14 a few months ago. I sprayed silicone lube on the tracks and it has been smooth since.

Mine began doing that a few months after I bought it. I didn't anything to it and planned to gripe it next trip to the dealer, then it smoothed out on it's own.

Edit: It does have a very slight chatter now, but before using silicon I just cleaned the inside of the window really well with RainX cleaner, and it stopped it. Seems to me it rubs the most on the inside bottom seal as it lowers, and if you put a finger on that seal as it lowers you can feel the vibration. RainX window cleaner is supposed to make water bead. Maybe it puts a slick film on it?

My window does that on my ‘17

I’ll mention it to the dealer this week when they change the oil

When it goes down it chatters loudly....

Yup! Same issue on my 2014 shortly after buying it a couple years ago. Used silicone spray on the tracks, and it went away. Hasn't needed it again since.

Stupid question did you just spray down into the door or did you take the door panel off? I just can’t take the noise any longer

Just down into the window tracks. No need to take the panel off. Then I powered the window up and down a few times, to make sure the lube is well spread throughout. The first time, it chattered a little still, then smoothed out. Powered up and down one more time, and no chatter.

No issues since.

Ditto. Just spray into the tracks with the window down. Then operate the window a few times as Jason said. Piece of cake, three minutes.

With this method don’t you end up with the spray getting all over the window/smearing every time it goes up and down?

No. Spray it on the vertical tracks (groove that the window slides in). There may be some overspray onto the door window frame, but that can be wiped off. I have not noticed any residue on the window at all.

ok so I posted this question about six months ago and got some good tips . Pretty much greased and lubed everything in the window system. Window still rattles . Only thing that stops it, is to lightly pull on the top of the window as it’s going down or if it’s been raining and there is zero resistance.
I went as far as taking the door panel off and any access doors. I can watch the window wobble in the attachment point in this case white plastic clips. If I could tighten those it seems like that would be the fix . I’m stuck here and can’t take the sound anywhere. Has anyone ever replaced those clips before or better yet has anyone run into this problem and have a fix for me .
Sorry so long but this has been the most frustrating repair yet. Thanks in advance if you got this far in my rant .
