Window Trim Bulge

My 2013 Ram 1500 lower window molding trim has bulged. We live in a hot climate, so I think it's heat caused. Is there anything I can do about it instead of a dealer fix?

Nope, happened to mine as well ... I might try to see if I can remold it with the heat gun, but I have seen this on tons of our trucks, everytime I see a Ram anywhere I check and I see this happening, also happens on the bed rain caps which happened to mine already lol ..

Only fix is to buy chrome window molds. Those don’t warp. I can’t bring myself to install chrome molds though. If I can find polished aluminum ones I’ll go that route

By the way, rubber strips up near the roofs sections, at the rear will deform & lift too

That called belt line trim. I replaced them on my 06, the trim on my 13 still looks pretty decent though, but the roof seam trim needs replacing. I'm in FL. We get that alot here, especially on the coast.

Those are attached to the existing belt moulding via 3M tape, if yours are already deformed then these will be of no use. When I had my ‘17 I replaced them with the OEM ones from the Lonestar Silver Edition.

A heat gun to work the original back into shape then place these over to keep the shape?

So I've actually been shopping for these. Has anyone come up with any good solutions? Unfortunately the ones you listed aren't available, but got me thinking, maybe some like these or the aftermarket chrome ones with a gloss black vinyl wrap will blend in to my brilliant black and tinted windows better.

I'm in the process of buying new rubber trim pieces to freshen up my 2015 as the rubber pieces are starting to get sun bleached and none of the aftermarket coatings last long. I was looking at a set of aftermarket rubber ones on ebay as they're a quarter the price, but the quality is in question and the end cap doesn't seem to sit flush looking at pics and reviews. I just can't bring myself to spend almost $400 for 4 small oem trim pieces.

I did pony up for a new oem cowl panel below the windshield and the oem windshield side trim pieces. I did put a ceramic coat on them to hopefully help them last longer. Also caught one of the big local mopar suppliers near me with a mopar silencer in stock that I've been trying to get for a couple years now lol.
