I need your help. I have a 2013 Ram Sport 1500 4x4 quad cab. The rear passenger window stopped working. I read about a wire breaking inside the wire harness. I replaced the harness and the switch and that didn’t fix the problem. When I try to roll the window down from the driver’s switch panel that doesn’t work either. I’m at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

seems fishy

I thought it may be a corroded wire at the window regulator, but you changed the harness leading to it ,I assumed from what you said .Is there any sounds you hear while depressing the switch.Your window regulator motor and or regulator( probably one unit together) may need replacement,Check to see if it gets voltage at the connection

Jump power to the motor its self if its good then chances are its the drivers master switch they fail all to often.

If it is the master switch, i believe the jeep grand Cherokee master switch, is back lighted vs the ram one that wasn't for certain trim models. I know this last one I bought someone pointed this out to me. Same switch same functionality but one lights up the other didn't.

I could be wrong. Foggy memory, please check for yourself.

The regulator works. I jumped the wires and was able to roll the window up and down. I’ll replace the master switch and see if that works. Thanks for the quick replies.

You need to do some diagnostic testing and not just start throwing parts at it. Don't take this wrong, but some fairly simple checks can help isolate where the issue is. A basic test light or multimeter can show you what is getting power.
For example, push the window switch down and see if you are getting power to the connector at the window motor. If you have power going to the motor, but the motor does not run, then it's likely a bad motor. If you don't have power going to the motor then obviously the motor won't run and the problem is further upstream. Start tracing the circuit upstream until you find where the power stops at. That means checking for power at the switches.
You didn't specify, but the switch you replaced was the one the rear door? You then mention the switch on the driver's door doesn't work either. I would verify the drivers door switch is working (check with power......just don't slap a new part on!). The reason I mention is that the power is often routed through the drivers door master switch, so if that is burnt out the window wouldn't work using the switch on the rear door either.

That makes sense to check things out first. Thanks 62Blazer
