window trouble

my window doesnt go all the way up. i had the door panel off and everything looks fine. the X bracket that controls it looks OK but i can push up on it and the window goes all the way up, but it falls down after i let go. what could be causing the problem? window motor works fine up and down. TIA

I can't remember how our windows are, but look at the teeth on the drive gears and see if some are missing or partially there. If so you need a new one, LMC Trucks got them.

thanks for the reply. its not gears, its a metal bracket, like an "X". i was told the regulator is bad and needs to be replaced

Yes you need to replace your regulator..

anyone have anything good or bad to say about TYC regulators and power window motors? found one cheaper than the part stores
