Hello. Looking for some help/suggestions on how to troubleshoot my wiper issue. Wipers were frozen and they were left on. The passenger side broke loose, but the driver side did not. Now when I turn on the wipers, the passenger side works normally but the driver side does nothing. If I try to move them by hand, the driver side moves freely with no resistance. Where should I start? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like the linkage is broken, you may be able to see the link from the outside and looking in through the cowl screen.

If one side is working I don't believe it is an electrical problem.

Good Luck

Wiper transmissions pop off fairly easily in certain vehicles. I would check the transmission connector bushings. Auto parts stires often carry them for $5 or less.

I wasn't able to get to the parts store tonight to get a battery terminal puller to pull the wiper arms off. Both wipers are working now, but if you apply any physical resistance against the driver side wiper arm, it stops. The linkage underneath the cowl continues to move, so I'm assuming something in the connection between the wiper linkage and the wiper arm is messed up. Do you guys know if there is a replaceable bushing between the arm and the linkage?
