2005 Intermittent wipers acting up. Set in say position 3 they will suddenly wipe steady two or three times then go back to intermittent. Which needs replacing switch or motor?

Its hit or miss could be switch or motor doing it both are reasonably cheap on rockauto

It's neither your switch or motor, it's the contacts in the motor drive. It's a common problem that you can fix yourself if you're even half handy with tools. Look on Utube and you'll find lots of vids on what you need to do. Just make sure you have some dielectric grease on hand before you begin as well as some fine sandpaper. I had the sandpaper and not the grease, I had to redo it a second time a year later. They've been problem free for the last 2 years. Got so bad before I fixed them that they would wipe when I hit the remote locks. And on intermittent, sometimes up to a half dozen swipes and then normal or no go unless I bypassed the intermittent and went straight to full on. Good luck,
