Having a problem with the multi-function turn signal/wiper/washer/ high beam switch on my 2014 Express. Switching from low beams to high beams it signals the wipers to make a single pass across the windshield. It seams to be getting worse and more annoying. It started out doing this about every other time and it's now about 9 out of 10 times. Anyone else having this issue and any suggestions? TIA

Switch stalk or the wiring right at the switch stalk is rubbed through is where I would start.

Are you sure you're not pressing the end of the stalk in slightly when you change lighting?

If you have a lot of miles on your 2014 and you are one of the few people that actually use the turn signals then your multifunction switch may be worn out. I have replaced a couple on past high mileage vehicles I have had.

That's a cool one indeed. The stalk must flex just right to make contact for that wiper switch when you actuate the high beams.

i had a multifunction switch turn on the wipers every 10th (or so) time i used the turn signal, it was really annoying, especially when it would smear the bugs lol - new switch off rockauto and problem solved.

Bought the truck with 750 miles and it only has 38k now and it's been doing it since I bought it. I've been pretty conscious about how my fingers were moving the switch. tried using only the back of my fingers to push the switch forward, placing my fingers further down on the stalk so that they were not touching the wiper control part the switch. nothing seems to help. For those of you that replaced the switch, how difficult of a task is it?

Hi jh90731,
We can imagine how frustrating this may be. We suggest having your dealer look into this. You may also send us a private message if you would like any assistance while your truck is at the dealer.

mine was on a different truck, but looks to be more or less the same with your gen ram. I'm not good with interior panels, so it took me a while lol
anyway:

^^^Looks pretty easy on the Rams, on my old Toyota Tercel I had the pull the steering wheel as the switch was wrapped around the steering shaft. That was fun.

38K is very low miles for the switch to be worn out but it sounds like the switch is the problem to me. I would replace it unless you can get the dealer to cover it under warranty.

well now that I know it's this easy to replace I'll order a new one from Rock Auto. Thank you all for your responses and insight!
