Would a tonneau cover (roll top models) for a 2019+ (DT) fit on a DS (2013-2018 and 2019-2024 Classic)

I have a RAM 1500 SPORT Crew Cab model year 2016.

I am looking at the Mountain Top roll top EVOm but it looks like they only made it for the 2019+ (DT) models.
I have found a 2nd hand one for sale at a decent price and in a very good condition (I am located in Sweden as is the seller of the EVOm roll top).

He has a 2022 Classic (DS) model and I am surprised that he was able to fit it on his car since Mountain Top states that their EVOm for RAM models are only available for 2019+ DT models.

As far as I have found out by searching the web it looks like the only difference in bed sizes is the height of the bed which seems to be 2 inches higher on the DT models versus the DS model. However, both the length and the width seems to identical.

The question now is if I should buy his EVOm cover (at like 50% below the price for a new one) or is the front of the bed as well as the rear of the bed different in someway between DT and DS models?

Your truck beds are the same, so if he said it fit his it will fit your truck. However, as you know, the company does not market their tops for DS trucks, so obviously something is different. Why is owner selling? Maybe they found the issue. You could reach out to manufacturer or a retailer and find out what the deal is.

The beds from DS to DT do not appear to be interchangeable on the recycler list.

Owner is selling the roll top because he has mounted a bed cap instead.

I reached out to the manufacturer (Mountain Top is now owned by Real Truck) but they won't answer my question. Instead Real Truck is referring to their retailers here in Sweden.
I contacted two of them (trucker.se as well as kama.nu) and both of them are telling me that Mountain Top roll tops are only available for DT 2019+ models.

However, Trucker.se told me that they had sold one to a client that had a DS model and that client never came back with complaints. None of the retailers (and neither the manufacter Real Truck / Mountain Top) are answering my question "WHY" the EVOm won't fit on a RAM 1500 2013-2018 DS model (or a RAM 1500 2019-2024 Classic).

Well, there are enough DT trucks out there that if you find it is a problem you might get back most of your money by reselling it. Of course no idea how many trucks are in your country, but the number probably increases every day.
