I'm looking at buying a set of Fuel Octanes in either a 20x12 or 22x14. I love the deep lip and stance of the x14's, however with my college kid budget I'm scared that after barely covering the cost of the wheels and tires, I'm gonna run into front end problems that I won't be able to afford. I've heard many different opinions, and a lot of people have said that if you're going with x12's you might as well go with x14's because as far as wear & tear they're really is no difference. Another concern are tires, I'm gonna be running around 33's and I see most people running tires that are skinnier than the rim, usually a 12.50 width. I used to drive a stanced GTI so I'm familiar with stretching tires, I'm just a little weary on doing it with a truck. If you have any relevant tips or info or pics please share

This will be on a 2wd 1500 Express btw

Tons of people run x14s with 12.5 tires. I'm planning on running x14s and I expect to run into ball joints and wheel bearings, things along that line. Imo x14s look so much better but that's just me

I completely forgot about this post lol. When it comes to the ball joints and wheel bearings how long does it usually take until they start to fail? I've only put 10,000 on my truck over the past year and I'm about to start college for the next 4 years so I'll probably be driving even less. I also decided that if I go with the 14 wides I'll put the stocks back on whenever I go on a road trip or anything. I just wish they made like a 33x14.50 tire or something. My anxiety is gonna be through the roof driving on stretched tires haha

I haven't put them on yet but I'm gonna be running a set of 20x12s only because I don't have room to run x14s.

I plan on running them on a 7" front and 1.5" rear. I know 2 guys running this setup, one has 35's and one has 33's

When I lift mine I'll run 8 inch front and 2 or 3 rear with 35s on 22x14
