Woah thanks for the warning, I will never be able to un-see that. Maybe has a small chance on a short bed crew cab. Where it’s not so stretched out. I admire that it’s different and I could see the function may fit some folks needs. If this were shark tank I would be saying I’m out

001.JPG not the best of shots but you get the point. It looks like they are stuck in the 80s

A guy on the Ecomodder site built a few of these for F150s. helps with the MPGs, and IMO looked decent. He could never get the backing for mass production though and moved on to other projects. I've seens a Chinese company making something like this for the Ram, but you can't get them here. They also make them in Europe and Asia for some of the smaller 4door "trucks"

I think it looks pretty cool (Mustang fan and this has Mustang written all over it) but if you use your truck as a truck and haul stuff it would be a PITA.

I suppose it works for the aesthetics of some folks, but...

1) No man, no - I came of age in the 1980s, I love the 1980's vibe, but I still wouldn't want it on my own truck - way too jarring visually.

2) Four Thousand bucks? I get that they gotta make a bit of profit, but how freakin' expensive is fiberglass and paint these days?

3) Dude, I actually put stuff in the bed, and that stuff can pile up taller than the cap (or any cap for that matter).

Not really. I like being able to throw something in the bed and go, and it'd get in the way of my 5th wheel. But it's not like you have to dismantle the whole cover to use the bed. I wouldn't put one or a camper cover on mine because I climb in and out on the tire.

Why buy a truck if you're going to put something like that on it?

I have a camper shell on mine, but it will still carry a whole lot more than a truck with that monstrosity on it.

Just depends on what you're going to put in it and when. For me, it'd be handy, and I'd remove it when I needed to.

Yep. If you put a 4-wheeler in it every weekend, no- it's not something you'd probably want to mess with. Is it utilitarian? No. But most people driving trucks today don't need 100+cu³ of bed space on even a weekly basis, but they want the capability if needed. BTW, thanks for serving, guys.

I'm a fan of ugly stuff on trucks (Owned the original plastic cladded cat-eyed 2002 Avalanche, and the alien-looking 2006 Ridgeline, now the whale-faced '16 Rebel.) This cap is ugly and awesome all at the same time.

First impression: perfect for someone who really did not want a truck. Then I saw the mention of four grand? I was glad I had not just taken a gulp of coffee when I saw that. It reminds me of seeing a horrible contestant on American Idol and Randy Jackson was the first to start the critique, saying, "Wow, man . . ."

Add the 4k it costs to the price you paid for your truck and go buy a Hellcat and be happy!!!!!!!

I respect the engineering and building these but it's a no from me. I like they people are thinking outside the box for bed covers but I use my truck for a truck. Might be good for a racer or desert runner truck.
