i wasnt implying it was dirty. very clean looking, sharp, uncluttered, etc.

when i was in the import scene, we used yellow model paint, put in a air sprayer.
the color was:
RAL 1026 -- Luminous yellow

Interesting. I found some stuff from Japan (since there is no English on the bottle!) All the JDMers love it. $35 shipped / can.

Getting an detail air brush has always seemed like a good idea... I wonder how it withstands use / abuse. I suppose with enough clear...

the model paint lasted about 6 mnths, no clear. just a few coats.
in NM, may last longer. its stupid high humidity plus salt water here.

when it did start coming off, it looked like peeling bird crap and wasnt easy to get off.

Hmmm, well, I will be opening up the headlights. Maybe I'll take the lenses to a paint shop, have them spray em with cleared out yellow, on the inside.

I am not sure if heat would be an issue, but painting inside would be a PITA. outside, pretty easy.

These are all just ideas. I'm airing them out to get feedback.

I don't have a light apart yet, so I don't know how it'll be...

The nooks and crannies inside would make it a *****.

Have you popped open one of these Ram lights yet? Get ready for some fun! :D

If you are looking for yellow light output, 3k HIDs are the only way to go. If you want the lens yellow then it looks cool.

Not yet. I've stashed them in my closet until I get all the parts here, and enough time to get it all done. I'm so tired of having 1/2 completed projects!

I think I might stick with the 3000°K lights for the fogs / foul weather only.
I have 5000°K for the headlights as is.

Meh, I'm not afraid of it. I've pulled apart Gen II headlights before. I'm sure these being larger will be a lot more fun. But it's just part of life!
