Obviously I'm new here and probably won't post much. But here's my story.
I've had three F150's over the years, last one being a '04 CC. A true nightmare since the day I drove it off the lot. Check engine light, airbag light, warped rotors and worste was the "shimmy" issue since day one. I even had Ford engineers drive my truck and they offered no help. As much as I loved it, I just couldn't drive it anymore... And that was after 110k miles. It vibrated so much it threw all the wheel weights. I gave up!
I set out to test drive everything I could in search of the perfect truck for me. I was more interested in "feelings" than price. Looked at and drove everything from 30k to 60k. After a few weeks of researching, I joined the Ram family[emoji2].
I vowed I wouldn't join any forums. With my F150, I HAD to join every one so I could download every TSB I could find since there were so many issues. But here I am, not searching for remedies, but looking for accessories [emoji12].
The members here are far different than the Ford forums. You guys like your trucks. What a Ford guy views as an issue, you guys call it a quirk... I like this thought process.
It was kind of funny... when I was test driving different makes... The salesman wouldn't shut up... Pointing out every detail of their vehicles. I visited 3 Ram dealers, driving different setups and the salesman didn't say a word. I really think they let the truck do the talking. Hell , I didn't even know I had floor storage until after I signed on the dotted line. [emoji8]
I'm not here to bash or flame... Ford just left a sour taste for me. As many problems as I had, I loved my F150's till the day I traded them. But I don't think I have ever been so happy with a vehicle than my 2015 Ram Bighorn CC. Looking forward to reading much and posting little from this point on.
