I THINK I was looking at one of themlast year……it was a late 24, (this was Feb 25) beautiful truck, 4000mls!
Salesman was telling me it was the personal car of one of their managers who had bought it and was moving and needed the money for a new house????????
Sounded fishy to me. Then I asked for the paperwork/history and saw all the warranty work it had had done and just said “Thanks but no thanks”and walked away. I just remembered! That Tungsten had to have new cats! Someone on here was talking about that and I told him I’d never heard of it…….Oh well…
It was a very very good deal…….hummmmm.

My brother just bought a new 2026 1500 with the Hurricane 2 weeks ago,and it's already in the shop for electrical issues. I warned him the trucks have a good drivetrain, but the new electrical system leaves a bit to be desired. He phoned me last night just ranting about it,as the truck doesn't even have 500 kilometers on it yet,and it's going back to the dealer on a tow truck today.I'm scared to phone him for an update,as he was spitting rocks last night he was so mad ;)

My 2025 1500 Hurricane SO had to be towed…neither key fob would work until they reflashed some electrical components. Sent letter to Stellantis CEO…they didn’t care. Now the truck has shut down while driving, twice in the last week. Only 23K miles on it. Can’t help but believe the new Rams are electrical lemons. Next letter goes to DoT…safety issue.

Sorry to hear about your grief.
I believe the solutions are likely to be found in the article Crash posted. See link below.

If your dealership is fumbling around talking about updating modules, print the article and show it to the service manager.

I wouldn't waste too much time before following the recommendations, with or without the dealership.

They can't give you grief for installing the big 3 electrical upgrade, an H8 AGM battery, and cleaning/upgrading the common grounds.

Not everyone has to learn everything off the Internet. I have friends who are in positions in the supply chain, including QC managers. A friend of mine until a few months ago was a service manager at a CJDR dealership, but is now at a Ford dealership. A few years ago I had access to proprietary fleet data that's member only and under NDA.

So, yeah, I'm real comfortable saying your anecdote is irrelevant just as much as an anecdote about a failure is...but it's also beyond intelligent debate that Atlantis caused a much higher failure rate in the new trucks vs the mature technology of PowerNet.
That's awfully presumptuous to assume that I have to learn everything off the internet. It's not a whole lot better than saying I have 2 friends that told me stuff or that "I know things, but I would have to kill you if I told you." :) I prefer statistically relevant information over your having 2 friends and some "secret" knowledge... it must be the old scientist in me from my previous life. Sorry.

FWIW, I made my initial post as I find it silly for someone to say, "I had a problem with my truck, therefore they all must have problems". There are undeniably some electrical problems and my follow-up post was addressing the foolishness of thinking that it is just Ram (Stellantis). Go look at Toyota, GMC & Ford's new vehicles. These electrical gremlins are present across the board.

My reply was a direct response to your statement:

Real numbers are hard to find... even from the articles you are likely rushing off to quote right now (many of those are sponsored).

Bold added. So lecture yourself since it was a direct response to your awful presumption about where and how I obtained my information, zero to do with my awful presumption of yours.

You're claiming to be a scientist and don't understand what an NDA is or the relevance of primary sources? Ok.

I agree a Big3 upgrade could, and should help.I had mine done on my Gen.4,a while back ,(with a hi output Mechman alternator),but it wasn't something my Dealer would touch at all,I asked.I thought if they at least did the big3 it would be still covered under warrantee..AND since I have had it I assume the Dealership will thumb their nose up at me,if I ever needed warrantee work ,for anything electrical, based on their response. They will void your warrantee for sneezing out of the wrong nostril .
I mean they also say the transmission is lifetime transmission fluid.Everything is by the Stellantis book/bible, for them.HATS OFF to Grimsby Chrysler...that said they(Dealership),sent me to a place to get an IGLA installed,I paid them and they paid the installer.
Some Dealerships are more flexible.A Honda Dealership 25years installed an aftermarket Vortech S/C on my new S2000 ,and they stood by my warranty afterward

Is your brother very automotively or, more importantly, electronically inclined?

.He needs to ask the dealership if they will compensate him for time lost, towing expenses, work time lost, and all that goes with being stranded on the road with a non functioning 'new truck'.?

Try reading the disclaimer on just about any sales agreement. When we sign the agreement, we have waived any rights to recover any losses other than the use of the vehicle.

And I will bet even the loss of use is obfuscated by the usual legalieze BS.

Have you any more info from him on what is happening, if anything?

They gave the truck back to him and said to drive it till it happens again as they couldn't find anything wrong. He did go from Kindersley to Saskatoon and back i'm assuming with it yesterday, but i never thought to ask him about the truck and if that's the one he drove there and back,as we had other things to talk about . I know my brother and if it happens again,he'll probably get rid of it,as he's never been one to put up with vehicles that give him trouble more then once, they just go down the road

That # 7 hi way will shape any bugs out of it, Was bad years ago ,
I hear it has not got any better. The semi's seem to like playing bumper cars on it.

Not fixing / not knowing what is wrong is a **** poor way to look after customers.
Something like the Doctors around here.

This is the price of the science fair needed to make a small displacement engine into a large displacement engine.

It works great. In the test cell.
