20117 towing capacity ??

Out of curiosity, I just priced out a 2017 truck just like mine, but with the air suspension.

5.7 hemi/8 spd trans/3.92 axle/lsd/air suspension

towing is not changed much...figured I'd make it something....

can't delete it......sorry all

Is this a question, or a statement? For the sake of it being a question, because you added a question mark.

2016 Ram 1500 Tradesman, HEMI, 6.4 BED, 3.92 Axle, Towing is 10,200 lbs. Starting at 37,745

2017 Ram 155 tradesman , HEMI, 6.4 Bed, 3.92 Axle, Towing is 10,080 lbs, starting at 37,290

Cost wen't down a few hundred bucks, and you lost a few hundred pounds of towing. The same is true across the entire 2017 line up, less towing, by minimm 200 pounds, but it varies based on the model, some are even less, like the laramie, and lonestar.

I'm guessing the website is just jacked up.
6900 is more like the GVWR, not the towing capacity. Was the GCWR somewhere around 14K?

I typed it in, then realized I was looking at GVW on the build & price site, not GVWR.....but since I had already hit the button....no way to get rid of it.

and for the record, it'll be a laramie or longhorn.......

Even so, as a talking point , you're right, very very little has changed. But then again, with the same transmission , same axle ratio, and same motor, its hard to expect much in the way of change.

with the charger, towing really don't matter one....all it needs to tow is my fat ass down the road !
