Damn man that sucks, you're not having any luck with this thing! Don't know why in a lot of cases the built/rebuilt trannys don't seem to even last as long as factory.

I think it wasnt done right to begin with.. had to take it back 3 times to fix a pan leak on it... and they had to reorder seals cause they messed them up on the rebuild.

I wish I could say that about my build. I've had mine on a flatbed a half dozen times and it became such a problem that I bought a AMA (AAA) premier membership because at this point I just expect things to go sideways any time I take it out.

Who did the rebuild, dealer or independent?

I'm looking at buying my own flat bed tow truck or one like Ramp Truck the guys at Roadkill have. Been talking with a buddy of mine to just go in on one together with how many projects we buy sell and trade we need one.

Who did the rebuild, dealer or independent?

Large town dealer did it, I forget the exact part but it was a sketchy go from the beginning. took them 3 weeks to do it cause when the trans tech guru put it together they told me they had to reorder some seals cause they nicked the seal on the main pump or valve body. Then had to take t back 3 times to fix the pan that was leaking where they stripped 3 bolts and had to helicoil them to get it to seal.
My guess since I lost all gears not the usual 4/5 overdrive cluster, that they didn't get a seal right and I wasn't building the right pressures and slipping clutches or the TC let go, I never found out if they replaced the TC when they did the rebuild or not... that question never got answered.

Either way I am more serious now about getting the T-56 to work than ever. Time to start buying parts.

Exactly why after 4 rebuilds I finally just went with a cheap junkyard trans. Bought two junkyard dogs with under 70k miles on them for under $600. In four years, I've only had to use one, the other still sitting in storage until the day this one grenades.

I wish someone would figure out how to build these thing to not blow up when you just look at them. I'm no Autotrans expert but all the prime and not prime "gears" I think is the issues.
KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid.... pretty much applies to this if you ask me, the more complex it is the more problems you will have with it.

This week can go F$%@ Itself!!!!! the bad luck continues...... Just back the charger into some idiot who was parked sideways in a parking space at a gas station, completely in my blind spot.... and with the storm the back up camera was all blurred out...
Its my fault but at the same time if people weren't complete FKN idiots **** wouldn't happen even when paying attention..... Only reason why I had to back out of the gas pump was another idiot pulled around me even when I was putting the pump away and parked a mile from the gas pump so I could not fit through the middle...... Still my fault but still ****** me off how people are so FKN stupid that they cant even pull up to a gas pump or pull into a parking space right..... and all this could have been avoided if the GF put gas in the charger instead of running past the E-mark and having to fill up at the worlds worst laied out gas station where 2 cars cant fit in the pumps end to end an cars cant drive by......
Pissed at myself to0 cause this is the first time i have ever hit someone elses car..... and now the bumper is dented.... I don't like having messed up crap!!!!!!

Ok rant over.... Didn't help I'm still pissed!!!!!

Too bad you can't bolt up a ZX 8-speed transmission man :(

Sorry to hear about your Charger. This happened to me when I was backing into a parking spot. Some ignorant **** pulled into the spot behind me and pulled halfway into my space and I didn't have the time to react. Granted it was a scuff I buffed out, but I was very sure to let the pansy purple haired liberal know exactly how I felt about her.

I'm not an ******* to many people, but if you mess with the rides, or the lady, you're in for a very bad day.

*Fight the claim. To me that reeks of an insurance fraud setup. Kind of convenient that you're blocked from exiting in a proper fashion and there's magically a douche parking job going on behind you.

Just Saying

I would if it was an issue, but the guy didn't want to exchange info even though i was "at fault" from first appearance. So I don't have to worry about that just fixing the charger. My Gf's brother in law is the manager for a well know quality body shop... he will take care of it for me without a hassle... just cost me some paint and a new rear bumper cover.

May just have him do some other things that were scuffed on the car when we bought it and redo the front and rear covers and valances and switch them over to SRT body styling. I will keep the R/T badges cause I don't like to claim a vehicle as it is not but the SRT body just looks alot better

I was gonna say! You're kind of in luck here, you hit someone, he didn't want to get it fixed ( likely doesn't have insurance ), this is a wet dream for me. Then I get to tell my wife " oh no... gotta go to the shop.. while it's there i mise well do this... and that, and that, and that ". May the force be with you !
