hello all . doing heads on a 04 4.7 with 150k on it. heads are at shop and im shopping for timing set now, what does everyone do buy a set with gears or just chains and tensioners ? when your into a motor with that many miles and its that far apart what should definatly be replaced. Thanks joe

I would do the timing chains. Your in there now. And its not that expensive.... The sprockets, chains and tensioners.

thanks Mark. yes I am doing timing set. when I tried to remove them the tensioners designated . I was thinking about things like fuel injectors, belt tensioners pulleys . . I think I will order everything from rock auto and change it all . I definitely dont want to be taking this apart again.
