I took my truck in for service today with my mechanic for a oil change and replacement plugs. My mechanic called me shortly later and told me he called the local Dodge dealer to buy plugs. The dealer told him my 2009 Ram 1500 Hemi came with NGK Platinum 100,000 plugs and they do not need to be replaced at 54,000miles. My mechanic pulled a plug or two and confirmed they were platinum. Was this an early year change before switching to copper plug?

My dealer told me my 2009 needed to be changed at 30k. LOL

At 35.6k now and haven't done anything with them yet.

If you bought the truck new and it DID come that way from the factory, replace it with like parts, and using platinum will increase the change interval.
