Hey guy's I'm new to this forum. I came here hoping to get solid information on an issue I am having. This is my issue, I have a 2000 Ram 1500 Off Road Edition with the stock Off Road rims. I currently have 285/70/17's on the truck now with no rubbing. I have ordered the 2" Leveling kit and I am wanting to put a set of 35's on the truck. I live in a small town with no real off road shop of tire shop. I have gotten mixed answers on if I can put 35's on the stock rims and not rub. Some people say I can sense I have the leveling kit and some say I can not. Please help, Im getting new tires and want 35's

On 2001 rams there is a lug cast into the steering knuckle for adjustable stops but it isn't drilled and tapped.

If you have a rubbing issue you can drill and tap these lugs for a 3/8 bolt and make your own.

I would strongly recommend you invest in an adustable track bar to recenter your axle under the truck when you install your spacers. You'll move it back and over about 3/4 of an inch.

This may answer your question(s) or lead to more.

Edit: I didn't really cover off road Rams here so I'll add that to the initial post. When you add those spacers you'll be liftng your ram about 4 inches over a stock non off road ram. That will give you clearence for a "small" 35 like a 315/75 size tire. A larger 35 like a 35x12.5 will limit your trucks suspension...please read my recomendations I've added to the suspension post.

A 315/70/17 will fit but will rub in the same spot with or without a lift

Do you have a leveling kit on the truck? or does it just look like the back is higher?

No leveling kit, the driveway is kinda angled downwards. It had about 1.5- 2 inches of rake.
