Is the PSI threshold requirement of 80psi also required on the Power Wagons?

If they won't/can't change it now then what's the solution?

So setting is 65 front and 80 rear so -20%, anything under 52psi front and 65psi rear will initiate the warnings?....or is it 80psi front and rear so it's 65psi all corners?

3500's don't have a threshold or just don't have TPMS at all?...trying to understand why it doesn't throw a warning just because of gvwr

Sorry for the questions but I'm fixing to buy a new HD truck and want to run 37's and can't find any with high press ratings.

Anything with a gvwr of 10001 pounds or higher is exempt from the tpms warnings. It still reads the pressures but has no warnings, so a 3500 wouldn't have the issues. It is 65 psi front and 80 psi rear, so you are right with the first option.

So, is it correct that nobody has been able to get a dealer to lower the threshold on a 2016 2500? I'd like to know for sure for when I set up the appt. to have the code flashed for the DRLs.

When I asked earlier this year (on my '15 2500), they actually tried, but all of their computer units had already been updated so the TPMS could not be changed. The older software they had did allow it, but not any more.

Damn. Missed it by one pound!

I'm just dealing with the light always on and the EVIC display changing to the tire pressure on startup.

We'll see if it's true, but I'm buying a 2016 Ram 2500 next week (truck is picked out, but currently out of town on business). I asked my salesman and he said the techs told him they can adjust the psi threshold to something lower. Crossing my fingers he's not blowing smoke.

Several 2016 HD owners have noted that their dealers advised that the old diagnostic and scan tools had the option to change the threshold level at both locations as described in post #1 but when they updated their tools to be able to scan and diagnose the new models, they lost that functionality.

Some other owners noted that their dealer advised them that this particular query cannot be accessed at the module level due to encryption or loss of access to that part of the module's code.

Whichever it is I'll be interested to hear what you find out when your dealer tech tries to modify the psi threshold.

I hate to sound skeptical but, in my experience, sales does not know what techs can and can't do.

Wrong post.

Wrong post what? If you follow my link you'll find the most meaningful advancement in resetting the TPMS thresholds since FCA removed the option from the WiTech.

I cut and pasted the link and the forum seems to change it. You can search the title of the link I posted if it doesn't work.

From the link you posted it looks like you need to buy autoenginuity software to do it?
