I started with the metra kit but it doesn't have an opening that's wide enough to fit my new pioneer radios so ill be remaking it

I want to correct myself here, last night I went and re-tried some fitments of the radios that wouldn't fit before, and they fit right up, so im not sure what I did wrong the first time around but it all works out great for me now :word:

I only used the spark plug wires...

Lol no but I only had the 4.7 motor and harness. I cut every wire I didn't need off of the harness except for the ac compressor plug, ac line plug, water temp plug, and oil pressure plug. Those work with my cluster and ac controls.

Hey guys, wow I haven't been getting notifications so had a lot of reading to do.
Couple quick questions, I need shocks but can't afford the big names so was wondering what you would recommend with a cheap price tag and also it seams the shocks are the limiting factor for the travel of the a arm and i think that's why the shock bolt broke and popped my cv shaft, so was thinking going longer at first but if it's going to travel too much and pop the shaft again i don't want to do that,
Also was wondering what brand hub? Probably be looking on Rockauto unless local has close price, last time Napa was within a dollar.
Ok not so quick, sorry!

It's actually a 2500 with 1500 springs...fyi

Right. Though my understanding is that the 1500 MegaCabs' springs are really somewhere in-between the 1500 and the 2500 versions. Or did I misunderstand?

^ That's the way I understand it.

Where did you get the flares? I was thinking about getting some for mine to hide the rust.

Its a solid axle so yes..a true tweener. Or 1500HD if you will. Or a 25000LD in gm terms. I just lothe the "1500 engine" comment.....just like any chevy 350 that hits the garage floor instantaneously becomes a "corvette motor"
Fyi...someone should find this humorous...bc its beyond true
