I stripped the chrome on mine and plasti dipped it white. Gave it a matte finish and doesn't match the mirrors or truck. Local area seems to be little wrecked or for sale ram parts sadly. Might just buy a matte grille and get it professionally painted.

I painted mine with some color matched rattle cans and I feel it came out pretty good. If you have the space and the will you can save some money that way.

Anyone know if a 2005 grille will fit an 08?

If you look at an 02-05 an 06-08 you'll see the difference on the bottom. Know there a lil different other than that but the angle/ shape of the bottom of grille is different. If you have a chrome bumper you can just change the upper pad to accommodate it.

I painted my grille with duplicolor rattle cans and from 5ft back it looks perfect but up close you can see it's a different texture, but overall good for the price I did it at. But in the long run I should've gotten it professionally done.

I had some fixing up to do. It included the belt mess in the pic, new headlights, hubs, CVs, and ball joints, new speakers in doors, and a new head unit in my 06 Quad Cab.

I got my exhaust system redone. I cut it from the cat back and had them put an x pipe to 2 flowmaster 40 series at 2.25" piping and 3" chrome tips. Sounds real sweet and loud.

Are you able to get a sound clip? I'm debating that flowmaster but wanted to hear it on a 4.7 before I pull the trigger.

Yea like me see if I can get an upload to YouTube and I'll post a link in the thread. But since I have an x pipe it will sound a bit different if you just get catback and dual out

Oh along with my new exhaust I put some gibson performance headers on and changed my water pump and belt. These are things I did in the last month not today

noticed a few things that need tending to this weekend. I have a broken exhaust hanger which sounds horrible each time i step on the throttle, its a head turner... in a bad way. Next I noticed an oil smell under the hood. with a little digging around I realized that I need to replace my head gaskets.

Since the weather is pure crap I will have to wait till this weekend to tackle a few small projects such as replacing a couple wheel studs, and getting gaskets on order. Will head up to a local muffler shop to have a couple tackwelds redone.

Picked up a pretty nice '04 Durango with a blown Hemi today. Planning on doing some engine repair and swapping over the next several weeks. The engine in my '06 is getting me back and forth to work but needs to come out and get overhauled. :(

Picked up new oil trough from dealer. Bent old one while taking out old 4.7. I wasn't going to get a new one, that is until I changed my oil. Taking off oil filter, the oil dripped all over the place. Right on new steering rack. It just made a mess. And with the trough in place the drain pan can stay in one spot.

Just waiting for some good weather, yesterday into today had rain, then snow, then freezing rain & more snow & now it's still raining, before I bolt this onto the remanufactured 4.7 I put in about 3500 miles ago now. Probably would have called around to some local boneyards for part but new from dealer was only like $23, it even came with all that dust on it, not sure if you can see dust in pic but, anyway, soon to be installed.
