What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

Super excited! Just scored a set of brand new OEM Black Quad Headlights for $140 with free shipping. Got lucky and saw them right after the seller posted them for sale. Now I get to play the waiting game for them. Wife will probably be pissed at me for buying them, but at that price I had to jump on them! Will have my chrome quads for sale shortly after I get the new headlights installed if anyone is interested!

So what planned as a 4.5 hr became 12hrs. Looks like I'm going to replace motor. Def not happy about that blown rod or some **** motor shakes violently on acceleration. Dealership placed at time of purchase on my other vehicle that was new instead of truck. Found a used motor 40k on it 3 grand so as much as I'm upset. I can't see my truck like this.................just that scream she made at start up broke me in two.

No powertrain warranty to work with?

Dodge said that it's out of factory warranty and at purchase salesperson somehow put extended warranty on my girls new vehicle which was brand new 0 miles. Did not buy at dodge dealer........note to self never make that @##@$ mistake again.

Yeah I can't wait! Will definitely make the whole front end look better. The only chrome I really want to keep in the end is the bumpers.

How did you ruin the engine?

No idea I use truck here and there mostly on my bikes untill winter rolls around routine services. Never had any issue then this happens. All I did was come to a stop highway traffic and truck completely shut off.

Did you buy everything from the dealership? What did it end up costing you?

I got everything from eBay. Looked only at OEM stuff, because I wanted it to fit right.

Bumper cover was OEM from a 2013 sport that had some damage that was fixed and primed.

All together it was around $750, keep in mind that I didn't have to pay to have it painted (uncle is a body guy).

Yeah I can't wait! Will definitely make the whole front end look better. The only chrome I really want to keep in the end is the bumpers.

You and I are after the same look. I'm going to vinyl wrap my grill shell and crossbars and leave the chrome slats. I really want the black projectors with chrome shrouds but have been looking at the black quads. I too think I will leave the bumpers chrome as well as the door handles. The whole point of my wheel selection was to build around chrome accents. I think after wrapping the grill and going to some sort of black headlight it will balance out the front end much better. Right now I just feel like its chrome heavy on the front end. Only thing really holding me back on the black quads is wanting that slight pop of chrome that the black projectors have. My last truck was blacked out with plastidip but on this truck I want a cleaner look.

Changed my interior lights and Cargo lights to LEDs, still gotta find the Mirror lights # and the under hood light #.

While doing the cargo lights I resealed the light with the foam strip stuff from Home Depot!
