One of the best things I've found for extra hands underneath the body is the floor jack. Get to use leverage against the ground, held my step bars in place to snug up the bolts on install. I snugged two up and had a bow that took a lot of energy to hold in place. Worked great.

I thought the same thing as I was installing it. Unfortunately I did it at work and didn't have one available. Probably could have used some cribbing off the truck but might not have gone over very well if we got a call.

Sweet! She's an agricultural teacher and they rent a laser engraver for a month for the technical part of class.
BTW I'm jealous about the hood on your truck lol

I got my truck one step closer to what it's supposed to be. I put audio controls on the steering wheel. :head3: Kind of pissed me off, all the money I spent to "upgrade" the radio to the 5.0 (8.4 not available :flipthebird:), and bought the "popular equipment group", but no audio controls.

If tomorrow cooperates, I'll put the flowmaster exhaust on. Make it sound right. :happy107:

I'm also trying to get remote start working on my truck (yet another feature not available :disgust: ). On the 2017 trucks, they all have the RF Hub that supports remote start, unless you have a manual. The only thing that is missing is the hood switch and the two wires in the Front Module harness up to a connector under the PDC that goes to the BCM. I made a jumper to fake out the circuit to look like the hood latch is closed. I've confirmed that the hood shows as closed, and there are no circuit issues. I have Remote Start enabled in every module where I can find a reference, but it's still not working. I can see in the RF hub that the button is being pushed, but the BCM is not initiating a start for some reason. BCM shows it enabled, learned, and the temporary disable is off. The inhibit conditions are all neutral, and all the enable bits appear to be on, but the start command isn't coming through. There's apparently still a bit(s) that I've missed. When I find it, I'll put up a thread. So far there are no 2017 kits from Mopar, but when we finally do get one, there shouldn't be much in it, so it might be moot to put up a thread.

Bought factory running boards, black.
Had a heck of time getting them - but I did.
And to the engineer who designed the mounts, needs to be kicked in the head.

Installed a hidden winch on my 2015 Ram 1500

Was pretty tricky without the proper tools, but with the help of this forum and good friends with tools, I was able to complete my project!!! Tested on a light load, roughly 5,500 lbs, I'd say it ran perfectly(no bent/broken metal)!!!

Had a wild hair and picked up some C bar tails. Nice quality and look fairly OEM in the red/clear. Took all of 15 minutes to install.

Crappy parking structure lighting doesn't do them justice.....they actually look really good.

I love em....went with the red lens version myself and had them in for a week now. I swapped out the halogen reverse bulbs with some of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K3GBRQ2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are super bright and error-free canbus bulbs with onboard resistors. Just have to check polarity when installing...if inserted and it doesn't come on, remove the bulb, flip and reinstall.

I am itching to hand wash my truck, but it is so cold out there. Not really cold, but the windchill is killing it. 43 degrees and sunny, but with a windchill that makes it feel like 32 degrees.
So,.......I just did the wheels. I bundled up and spent about 25 minutes out there cleaning all 4 wheels, inside and out. I had them done with Cquartz Finest last May, so they stay pretty good, but we had some crappy weather during the winter here in MA.
Is it summer time yet??!!?

Drove across town to take family pictures and my wife said the truck can't be in any of the pictures. Just wrong!
