Oil Catch Can Dump photos

Good deal Sir , better late than never imo.

The tan color is due to condensation aka water in the oil ....this is normal , may be a bit elevated in cooler temps as the engines crankcase typically condenses more moisture with a cooler outside air temp (oat) with each time it's ran to temps above the OAT and then shuts down and cools .
Your oil.is fine Sir .

Just ordered one from Billet Tech they have either 15 or 20% off (can't remember) until tomorrow. Saw both sides of people saying they are great and people saying they are worthless, but this thread helped make the decision. Have 2k miles on 2017 so figure I'd like to keep it as clean as possible. Sure I would have rather bought something fun like Billsteins but I'll get them next month

I know what you are talking about. I just moved it and zip tied it to the catch can z bracket.

Dumped mine today , about 3k since I last dumped .
I had to graduate up to a larger container to save my dumps because I've filled up my original container

This container is 64 oz and it's a bit over 1/2 full now as I dumped my previous containers contents and this dump of about 4 oz into it .


I'm just glad this Nasty oil / condensation / blow by / carbon / Crud didn't go into my intake plenum via the throttle body ha ha ha. You know , the place where only clean filtered fuel and clean filtered air should be !

Glad I'm not the only one with gunk in the bottom of my cc. The gunk in mine looks gritty but is more like a sludge. Either way I'm glad it's not going I'm my intake

Just dumped the Wife's 16 Challenger RT Plus ( 5.7L )

This is about 2000 miles . I n stalled the OCC @ < 900 miles
Approximately 2.5 oz this time .

Dumped mine yesterday after 2000 miles, was about 2/3 full. I'm putting a lot of miles on her lately, so dumping a bit more frequently. I should be more diligent with the duration and accurate with measuring the quantity like RLK, but sometimes I forget[emoji15]

Like an idiot I didn't write the mileage on my collection bottle when I got my OCC, only the date. I looked back in my receipts and figured out it was around 8500 miles. My truck just hit 30000 at the beginning of the week so this is 21500miles worth of CC dumps. Unbelievable this would've been ingested by the engine.

I had to move up to a larger bottle as I recently over flowed my smaller container . I have about 23k worth of occ dumps .

As for what are they for just Google oilcatchcan.com and this will explain the PCV system and the importance of the OCC better and it's just a good read .
