Stared at my truck after seeing the 2019 Ram 1500 announcement videos and screen shots and decided to resume my current list of mods. Next up, Recon bedlights, aftermarket tailgate latch backup camera, and (when it warms up) installing my ARH headers.

Yeah, I think many of us are sitting around scratching our heads thinking we just might keep our trucks longer than we thought. I figured my truck would be sold before I finished all my mods, guess I may have thought wrong! It's actually a good thing the more I think about it. Looks like I'm going to build a truck for me instead of building one for some kid for once! Even if I get bored and replace completed mods with another brand mod, I'm still saving.

And here I am wanting to get rid of the jump seat and go to the console. Too bad mines grey.

Needed the extra seat come April, and with the truck almost paid off it didn't make sense to upgrade. I actually like the jump seat more then the console. Now I just need to clear out all the spare seats. Cheapest option I found was buying all the seats out of a salvaged Laramie crew cab. The seller wouldn't split the set or trade the console for the jump seat.

Changed both fuel filters today while there was a little bit of sun out.

I finally found the source of the constant popping noise in my seatback. There's a pair of black pushnuts in there, one just behind the plastic dogbone to the seat recline adjust, and one just inside of the dogbone itself. For some reason the pushnut just inside the dogbone can fail (crack) and the plastic dogbone walks off of it's mount and then the recline adjusted either jams stuck or clacks around all loose. I'm tired of this issue so I decided to finally fix it myself. Pics of the part used in case anyone else wants to do the permanent fix. I took my time when tapping the threads into the star shaped bolt end.

Should I make a topic out of this for future reference or what?

That is correct.

Taken from Allpar: "An active dual-runner-length intake manifold boosts both low-end and high-end power, by maximizing the natural “supercharger effect” of the manifold. The PCV system was integrated into the intakemanifold to prevent oil loss."
Thanks mo

First diesel I ever owned I had no idea and starved the injector pump. Change them every January regardless of miles. Hopefully nobody on here learns that lesson. Nowadays pumps, line and injector cleaning/replacement can get up to 10 grand. No thanks.

379 short hood?

I’m not driving mine right now until they find me a new motor...lol. Broke the crank in mine. Guess that little M-11 finally decided to give out. Didn’t even have a million on the clock yet.

I try to change mine every November, in prep for the winter season. Was a little late this year, just did them last weekend. Still less than 10k on them though.

It’s a 379, the hoods kinda in between short and long. We have a couple shorter ones in the company. Motor was completely redone in June and was still pulling decent when she went in. I’m sitting getting a trailer tire repaired now. Here’s the mileage:

You allowed to park on the street overnight when it snows? Over here, you cannot. (Walpole/Foxboro area)
Yeah it's fine unless they send a severe storm notice.

I almost forgot to include this. Just a friendly reminder people, when you're playing around Body&Trim practice Rule #1 about watching yourself on the inner edges of any steel structure. Cuts happen quick because of hidden sharp edges. While putting the seat back together I managed to offer up to receive 2 stitches.
