You sell these?

Hey, I understand how a PCV system works. Just please accept that not everyone is convinced this is something to worry about.
No I don't sell them. I believe in them and see the facts I've taken intakes off and oil poured out what more proof do i need than that And the other members replies ?

Are you talking about new or low mileage engines that oil is pouring out of the intakes? I have no doubt that very high-mileage engines even with the catch can are going to collect a good amount of oil in the intakes with a PCV system.

Under 100000 and of course a brand new engine isnt gonna have any oil in the intake this is what builds up after all the mileage besides what goes in the engine. You do what you want but I can't wait to install mine tomorrow

Seriously, I wasn't trying to rain on your parade or anything. I hope it works well for you. And again, I was initially asking if anyone had really done a study to compare two of the same engines with and without the catch can, after say 30,000 miles.

Who knows? I might even change my mind and put one in mine.

I run 87 octane in my Pentastar and there's no knocking or pinging at all. Runs great.

Ran my old F-150 over 300,000 miles. And the engine was still running, No catch can. It finally developed a valve guide leak in one of the cylinders, Other than that. It was still running strong. Had never been opened up.

I run a catch can on my wifes stock 2016 Challenger and run it on 87 octane with no issues either, and she races the car, lol. The car is just as fast on 87 with a catch can,as the other 5.7 Challengers are that are running 89 and no catch can, which leads me to believe the cleaner intake air contributes to the computer allowing virtually the same timing as the cars on 89 are getting with no catch can. I routinely get over 250,000 out of my company vehicles with no catch can to,but when they get plugs at 100,000 miles, their plugs have a noticeable carbon build up compared to my personal vehicle. Not my company,so I have no say in what goes on them as far as a catch can goes, but I do get to look at the differences in spark plugs, and an engine with no catch can, definitely has dirtier plugs at a 100.000 miles then an engine that has one. Let me guess you're bored tonight and decided to see if you could stir up some poop, lol. As nothing you've said to this point really has any basis to it,except you managed to get 300,000 out of i'm guessing a 6 cylinder or 302 Ford, lol

Well the proof is in the can........some of us prefer our engines to run their best & that requires clean combustion chambers/valves/plugs......along with a maintenance schedule that includes OCI, TB cleaning, clean air filters, running TT fuel & fuel additives.

I've been posting this in with the boosted threads, but maybe it should also be posted here.Well worth spending a few minutes reading it,especially for the guys who don't want to believe a catch can is beneficial to their 5.7's.Mind you Arrington is pushing their own catch can,but besides that they have some good info regarding the benefits of a catch can.

He is asking people to PM him for a quote.... and here you are asking for one in the thread....

I would prefer it if Nick would post a price too.I'm always a little suspicious of any privately given quote, makes you wonder if one guy gets a better quote then the next guy. How about posting prices where everybody can see them Nick.

Thought Iwould add my 2 cents to the catch can debate!
Bought my 17 with 10.5k miles, drove the crap out of it. Put a add a tube to air box. Bought a pc. Drove the crap out of it, no mercy! After reading posts here, I bought a ebay 68$ z bracket, good hose catch can and installed at approx 20k miles. Got a little bit of crud after 500 miles and next oil change there was about a 1/4 container of yuk after about 3k miles.
In the process of painting my engine cover I noticed black crud on throttle body walls and blade. Pulled it and cleaned it, there was quite a bit of gunk. I attribute it to a oem system sucking oil/carbon into the throttlebody.
After I passed the magical 36k warranty I installed a cai and a fastman tb. When swapping tb, the oem was clean so I didnt need to clean it again!
I since traded my 17 WhytRam for a 19 classic with 30 miles. By the time the truck had 100 miles it had the exact same brand new 68$ ebay catch can and will always have one! I now have 2050 miles and have dumped /checked it twice. Both times about 1/8th or a little more.
I dont need anybody to run comparison tests and publish the results for me as I have inadvertantly run my own and will NEVER RUN MY TRUCK WITHOUT ONE!!!

I understand your point but you have to realize we have rules to follow as a dealer. We can not publicly post prices lower than MAP which is a rule of the manufacturer's. If MAP rules are broken we can be suspended or even terminated from the Brand's contract. No one gets a better price than others. We price everything for you guys very low as many can attest here.

If you notice just about every vendor will send pricing privately and this is exactly why. The ones that arent either are posting MSRP or dont know any better and eventually will get a slap on the wrist from the manufacturer.

I assure you there is nothing shady with us. We have been on here for a while and I have been here and very active for a while now as well. We are not here to make a huge sale on bail. We are here to build a steady customer relationship and help the community here. I personally have loyal repeat customers here and I am sure they can vouch for me.

Well I’m no science buff and definitely didn’t pay attention to jack all during school, so I just installed and dumped what was in the catch can. Whatever **** was in there wasn’t in my engine. I sleep easier knowing that I installed something that was taking some **** out of my engine that I don’t want there! All the facts/proofs I need when I turn the little knob under neath and brownish **** comes out! Very satisfying if I may add.

EXACTLY, once you see the crap the can catches it proves it is a worthy investment!
